In his new role, Mr. Pardo will take on greater underwriting management responsibilities including creating, implementing and executing the business’ strategic growth plan for all of North America. Mr. Pardo will remain in San Francisco and continue to report to Lorraine Seib, President of XL Group’s Global Excess Casualty business.
Formerly Executive Underwriter, Mr. Stitham will be responsible for managing XL’s Excess Casualty Underwriting Operations in the Western US, including San Francisco and Los Angeles. He joins XL Group’s North America excess underwriting regional management team which now reports to Mr. Pardo and also includes Eastern Region Underwriting Manager Lou Forte in New York and Central Regional Underwriting Manager Maria Miramontes in Chicago.

A 26-year veteran of the insurance market, Mr. Pardo honed his casualty and specialty casualty underwriting skills with positions including Allied World and AIG. He joined XL Group in 2007 to establish the company’s Excess Casualty underwriting operations on the west coast. He is a graduate of California State University Fresno.
Mr. Stitham was promoted to his most recent Executive Underwriter position in 2012. He began his tenure with XL in 2007, after holding underwriting positions most recently with Travelers. He is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire.
