XL Group uses SMS only to provide product information to those who specifically request it by texting a particular keyword to our short code number. XL Group does keep or track mobile numbers for purpose of ongoing or routine messaging.
What is the price for XL Group’s SMS services?
There is no additional charge for XL Group’s SMS services. However, normal text messaging rates or package deductions may apply. Check with your carrier for details on your plan.
What carriers are compatible with XL Group’s SMS?
Compatible carriers include:
- Verizon Wireless
- US Cellular
- Cellular One
Are there any additional carrier charges associated with the service?
Standard message rates apply to all text messages. Message rates differ from carrier to carrier, so please contact your wireless phone service provider to inquire about the details of your plan.
Is XL Group SMS available for international users?
No. XL Group’s SMS service is currently available only for mobile users within the United States.
How do I opt-in to XL Group SMS messages?
XL Group does not use opt-in messaging. If you text an XL Group keyword to our short code number, you will receive the text message associated with that keyword. You will not receive any other messages from XL Group unless you text another keyword to our short code number. We do not retain your mobile phone number for the purpose of ongoing or routine messaging.
