XL Group Enhances Public & Products Liability Offering for Australian Market

 —

XL Group plc’s (NYSE: XL) insurance operations (“XL Group”) today announced an enhancement to its Public & Products Liability policy issued to Middle Market clients in Australia.

XL Group will provide the option of Environmental Liability coverage via an endorsement to selected industry sectors in Australia.  The Environmental Liability endorsement is designed to give Middle Market companies enhanced environmental liability protection in conjunction with its Public & Products Liability policy.  It provides the opportunity for flexible cover for on and offsite clean-up costs for gradual, as well as sudden, and accidental pollution events within Australia.

Craig Langham, Country Manager, Australia said: “The enhanced coverage option available to Middle Market companies provides a simplified solution to protect insured’s against many of the greatest environmental exposures that are not ordinarily insured under a Liability policy.  Our environmental underwriters provide twenty years of expertise in insurance, risk control and claim handling solutions in this area.”
