Jay has developed a reputation for working closely with his clients and brokers to solve risk challenges. He has deep experience helping clients with program structure and various risk finance and collateral alternatives, including captives, loss portfolio transfers, deductibles and SIRs.

Jay has been in the insurance industry for more than 25 years, focusing on primary casualty risk management. Before joining XL Group as Executive Vice President and Head of US Risk Management, he spent 12 years at ACE, most recently as head of national accounts. Before that, he worked at AIG, where he was Head of New York risk management and, later, Head of Casualty Mergers And Acquisitions. Jay has served at the Home, Atlantic Mutual and CNA.
Jay earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Boston University and an MBA from Pace University.
